Child Protection Policy

        Respect the dignity, rights and worth of every person within the context of Rugby League.

       Treat everyone equally, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, religion or disability.

        Do not allow any form of discrimination to be condoned or go unchallenged

        Hold paramount the well-being and safety of young people and this should be placed above performance.

       Know and adhere to at all times the guidelines laid out in the RFL Child Protection Policy.

        Develop an appropriate working relationship with all concerned, which should be based on mutual respect and trust.

        Do not engage in any form of sexually related contact with a young member or coach. This is strictly forbidden, as is sexual innuendo, flirting or inappropriate gestures.

        Respect other peoples opinions when making decisions about the participation in rugby league.

        Ensure that players and parents are fully aware of the requirements of rugby league.

        Be aware of and report any conflicts of interest as soon as they arise.

        Have high standards of language, manner, punctuality, presentation and preparation.

        Ensure that young members are not given , or encouraged to consume alcohol when they are in the care of the club.

        Ensure that the relevant qualifications (appropriate to role) and adequate insurance cover are held.

       Ensure that all activities are suitable for the age, maturity, experience and abilities of the members taking part.

      Attend appropriate and updated training courses to ensure that roles are up to date with policies and procedures.
